

IV SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE EXHIBITION
II CERJS Illustrated Poetry Contest



In compliance with Law 11.465/08, which includes the mandatory theme “Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous History and Culture” in the official curriculum of the education network, the Roque José de Souza Center of Excellence held the second edition of the illustrated poetry competition with the theme “Indigenous peoples: addressing the culture, identity and appreciation of the original peoples of Brazil, on April 19 of this year.
With the aim of highlighting the importance of these people and highlighting the talents and skills of the students, the competition emphasized the texts and images that best represented the theme. The works were evaluated by a committee composed of three judges, who analyzed their structure and awarded prizes in two categories: secondary and elementary.
In addition to exhibiting their work, the students performed dances, recited poems, etc.

On March 8th, International Women's Day, a day to celebrate achievements, promote equality and respect diversity, the school promoted an action aimed at all women who are part of this institution. On the occasion, a welcome was held at the school with the delivery of souvenirs and then we took them to the cinema to watch the film "Os Farofeiros 2", promoting a moment of fun and interaction.
On April 13, 2024, the School Unit held a discussion group on basic health education, personal hygiene and menstrual health with our students. The PSE action is part of the Cuidar-se program, which ensures the free provision of intimate sanitary pads, distributed on the occasion. An important moment for instruction and also to clarify doubts of our students.




Northeast of a Thousand Charms: Natural and Cultural Power of Brazil.
In celebration of Mother's Day, we held a get-together at the school on May 10th. The week before, invitations were sent to mothers, most of whom attended the event. The program included a welcome and thanks from the management team, tributes from students and guests through poems and songs, a lecture given by educational psychologist Thamires Conceição who gave a message in honor of mothers and a reflection on the importance of the family in the process of raising children. Afterwards, prizes were raffled off and the event ended with the principal thanking everyone for attending.

The Roque José de Souza Center of Excellence carried out the June project with the theme focused on sustainability, exploring natural and cultural aspects of our State.
The aforementioned project involved research, classroom productions, production of materials and presentations that took place in the municipality's sports gym on June 26 of this year.
In addition to the musical performances, the students presented a fashion show with clothes that were made with sustainable materials, emphasizing the main idea of the project.
Full-Time School Exchange


On July 27th, we at the Roque José de Souza Center of Excellence welcomed 1st grade B students from the Emeliano Ribeiro Center of Excellence in the city of São Domingos. It was a very productive experience for both the students and the entire school community, through the exchange of experiences, socialization and a lot of learning.
The students from Emeliano were welcomed in the morning, attended classes, had lunch and snacks, and participated in recreational activities. On this day, we received a visit from the Regional Director, Gladston, and the reference technician Lucimeire.

During the month of awareness for the end of violence against women, the CRAS team held a discussion with students from the Roque José de Souza Center of Excellence in order to encourage reflection on the topic and at the same time raise awareness among our students.
Through a very productive debate, our students were able to reflect on a hypothetical situation and discuss the best way to combat violence.

No sábado letivo, dia 10 de agosto, realizamos a I Corrida Estudantil, em parceria com todas as escolas públicas do município, uma atividade em alusão ao dia do estudante que mobilizou crianças e adolescentes à pratica esportiva.
Além da corrida, ofertamos atividades de alongamento e aula de dança. Proporcionando um dia de muita diversão para todos os discentes e professores envolvidos
II Cultural, Cognitive and Sports Gymkhana
Between September 3rd and 6th, we held the II CERJS Cultural, Cognitive and Sports Gymkhana.
The students were divided into two teams and signed up for a variety of competitions. The games took place in the sports gym and at Balneário Cajueiro, culminating in a gymkhana on the last day.
In this project, several modalities were developed, such as futsal, dodgeball, water games, quizzes, creation of parodies, presentation of musical rhythms, paintings on canvas, among others, exploring the skills of each student.
No dia 09 de Outubro, os alunos das 2ª séries do Ensino Médio em Tempo Integral, sob a orientação da professora Maria Lurdes Oliveira, realizaram o I Fórum Estudantil com o objetivo de trabalhar as temáticas Projeto de vida e mundo do trabalho.
Na oportunidade, os alunos puderam vivenciar a dinâmica da organização de um fórum e compartilharam de experiências a partir das palestras dos convidados que expuseram de forma brilhante os temas sugeridos.
A convidada Sandra Barbosa, formada em Administração, falou sobre sua experiência profissional e abordou o tema sobre o mercado de trabalho. Já o palestrante Jonas, professor da rede estadual, atualmente gestor escolar, compartilhou sua experiência enquanto professor de projeto de vida. Momentos de muita partilha de conhecimentos que prenderam a atenção de todos os estudantes envolvidos.

The students of the 3rd year of Full-Time High School were led by Professor Plácido Brandão to visit departments. Initially, they visited UFS Sertão and later, they went to UFS São Cristóvão.
On this occasion, they learned about the routine and structure of courses such as Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Physical Education, Arts and Design. This was an opportunity to help them choose the career path they want to follow.
In reference to Halloween, a celebration characteristic of American culture, on October 31st, we held the culmination of the work produced by students based on research previously carried out on this topic.
On this occasion, we held costume parades, table competitions and dance performances, an event rich in knowledge and dissemination of the culture of foreign-speaking countries.
No dia 28 de novembro, realizamos a IV Mostra Cultural e Científica, onde as áreas de conhecimento foram divididas para exposição de seus temas.
A área de Matemática, Ciências da Natureza e a eletiva de Robótica ficaram com a parte científica e apresentaram os mais variados experimentos prendendo a atenção de todos os visitantes.
A área de Linguagem e Ciências Humanas ficaram com a parte cultural e expuseram de forma brilhante aspectos da cultura afro-brasileira.
Pela manhã abrimos o colégio para visitação de outras escolas, para prestigiarem as explanações dos nossos estudantes e ainda contamos com apresentações de grupos da cidade, além de uma apresentação do grupo Sutaques de Casa, composto por estudantes do curso de dança da UFS que finalizaram o nosso evento.
Ainda no mesmo dia, à noite, realizamos o desfile da Beleza Negra, evento esse que acontece há décadas no nosso colégio, onde o maior objetivo é enaltecer a beleza contida nas características afro-brasileiras.

No dia 19 de dezembro de 2024 foi realizada a formatura dos alunos que estão concluindo o ensino médio.
Por meio do Projeto Média de Excelência, 42 alunos com média geral acima de 7,0 foram contemplados com uma excursão para a cidade de Maceió com transporte e hospedagem custeados pela escola.

EXCURSÃO PEDAGÓGICA PARA MACEIÓ

On March 28, 2024, a moment of reflection on the true meaning of Easter was held in the schoolyard with the participation of students and teachers. On the occasion, we had dramatization, musical presentation and biblical and historical reflection on Easter. It was an important moment for the school community, because, in addition to involving everyone, it made it possible to expand knowledge about the meaning of Easter, respecting each person's beliefs.
